Thompson's Point - An Historic Community
Ecology History Photos Articles Camps Jobs

Thompson's Point is a summer community located in Charlotte, Vermont on the shores of beautiful Lake Champlain. As best described by Jessie Gibbs in 1957, the Point is "a place whose beauty and freedom and happiness will long continue to give youngsters a storehouse of delightful memories to cherish through a lifetime...".

Join us as we compile the many stories and pictures from generations past and present, and work to document the ecological wonders which have drawn visitors to this site for thousands of years.

Whether it's retelling the stories of President Roosevelt's 1902 visit and the summers regulated in the deep thumping of steamships plying the lake, or Bobby Paul's latest boat, or that special bat who came back to visit for yet another year, the Point is a treasure for all to enjoy and cherish.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to this window on history.
